Canyon say what!
So the map has just shifted to canyons, I have not seen this map in like 5 months, nice map don't get me wrong but how the hell did it come to this? I have lost 3 games in total so far, 1 on asslands 2 on grenz, out of a total of 71 so far, all of my friends and guildies have had the same sort of success rate, I fail to see how we lost enough to get thrown this far back, i smell Anet intervention here.
Also set a new record this weekend, 21 straight wins on Asslands

Yeah it happens pretty quickly whenever there's an AB weekend. People will say it's not manually shifted, which is probably true, but the maps definitely rotate like they are. It always starts out on one severe advantage/disadvantage map, then aaaalways ends on the other. I'd probably participate in double AB weekends if it was kept on saltspray the whole weekend, since it is the only map that's equally fair for both sides.

It started on Ancestral Lands/"Asslands" and shifted towards the Jade Sea as the weekened progressed. While your team might be on a winning streak, on other matches being fought the Luxons may be losing horribly; your own results are not a reflection of the entire Luxon Armada.

Until someone comes up with actual proof of this claim, which I believe hasn't be presented yet, I'll stick to believing it's based on the win/loss ratio.

I also think that, even if ANet had decided to alter map rotation, it wouldn't have been necessary for this weekend. The Kurzicks seem to have more guild teams than normal, although many of them are quite bad they're still able to coordinate a lot better than their regulars. After the weekend is over they'll probably go back to RtL'ing TA or whatever.
We'll be back at Ancestral in no time.

I played 10 matches on Etnaran last night as Kurzick and won seven of them. I don't think many Luxon teams were taking it seriously (after all, AB is srs bsns) since I remember playing a guild team multiple times of four Hamstorm warriors. That might help explain being in deep Luxon for the first time since...well, probably last AB weekend.

One thing to say, you were really lucky with allies, or... luxons had leavers or just sucked big times...
Dont think i have lost 2 matches in raw ever, specially if its own map.

It's not solely looking at the win/loss ratio. The update a year or two ago added the momentum change, where a team that's advancing the line to the other side doesn't have to win 50% of the time to advance. For example, if the line is heading towards the luxon side, and it's in shallow luxon territory, the kurzicks only have to win, say, 30% of matches to keep advancing into deeper luxon territory. So even if you only win 3 matches and lose 7, the line will keep advancing. It's not due to Anet's manual movement. You think of yourselves too highly. Anet doesn't care that much do that it manually.

Yay Kaanai <3 I haven't seen it in ages and I missed it! It's my favourite map
Went in with a guild team and started stomping. 5k faction per win ftw! (Yes, there are Kurzicks out there kicking your asses. :P)
I think it's partly because better players tend to turn up on the Kurz side every time there's a AB weekend. Means you get better allies who actually don't mob, who know how to run past you if you're already capping, and who can both kill and cap. Helps turn the tables a good bit.

Thanks Holy,
Although I have to admit that this info makes the last months of kurzick:
grenz > ancestral > grenz > ancestral rotation even more embarrassing (bit of a strong word for something minor as AB but hey ...)

I played Luxon, did about 9 wins in a row on Etnaran, lost one, then did another 4-5 wins in a row. I couldn't believe it when the line shifted to Canyon, I felt sure it should be going to Saltspray we were winning so easily.
